Fan settings ??????

If I have the stock fan temperatures changed with a tuner,what do I need to do as far as the stock thermostat.Does that need to be changed?I have no mods all stock.I just don't like seating in traffic with temps reaching 220's I know that's normal temps,still like to keep the temps low.
