My understanding is that there is a difference in the sequence from year to year in the C5 due to some changes in the brake system that are not apparent to us. Suggest you get hold of the Chevy Service Manual for your year to verify.
I know they say its different for a C-5, but I didn't know that at the time. Did the same old conventional methods with two people, no problem. That was last year back in 02/01.
Get speed bleeders and save yourslf lots of time. The things work great. I was able to bleed the entire system in fifteen minutes by myself. Get yourself a sport water bottle. Punch out the plug in the center of the top. Insert one end in the bottle. I used about ten feet so I could see it going to each wheel from the drivers seat. l got mine at Lowe's. You need a small size that will fit fairly tite over the bleeder valve. Stick the other end of the tube into the bottle . Be sure to keep the master cylinder full. You can sit in the car and watch the fluid going throught the plastic (vinyl) tubing. I used two quarts of fliuid to fill the tubing and make sure clean fluid went completely through the system. You still need to do the sequence order. But it is much easier not having to open and close the bleeders everytime you push the pedal. http://www.speedbleeder.com/
Hope this helps,
Jim
FYI: Do you have Active Handling (AH)? The block the spring goes in is a little different for AH cars than non AH cars. Keep in mind that the threads on the block are different on each end. So if a line seems a little tight...it's probably on backwards. Also, don't let air get in the ABS unit down stream. If you do you have to get a dealer to bleed it with a tech 2.
