Default Belt tensioner....
Don't have a C5 but maybe this applies to my daily driver, 98 Buick Park Ave Ultra...

I had to replace the inner Serpentine belt, and accidentally loosened the belt tensioner nut. Tightened it but not sure it the nut has to be torqued a specific torque. I can't find anything, anywhere that mentions the torque on the tensioner nut...

Reason I'm asking, I've developed a high pitch squeal, not loud but enough to hear it...

That nut should be torqued to 37ftlbs per GM manual

Please take note that is out of a 02 corvette manual Hope I understand the right nut you were talking about.

The 37 ft lbs is a start and if the schirping decreases, then I'm on the right track. Thanks again
