Ipod Adapter interface
Bought an "iSimple" interface adapter from Best Buy..It works fine until I turn the volume way up on the head unit then I start to get "hum"...and it sucks...I've played with the gain +/- on the interface unit itself and the ipod itself but no matter what I cant get rid of the hum when its turned up. I put a noise filter in-line with no help. Do I need to install a ground loop isolator? Will this solve my problem? My ground is tapped into the ground for factory harness.

I'd not tap the factory ground. They are known to not be that great.
Find the closest "real" ground and bolt directly to it. Either that or check all the factory grounds for good clean non-corroded connections (see electrical information sticky)

thanks...I think Im just gonna take it back..and spring for new head unit..it's gotten to be more work than its worth...I'll check the sticky though...seems hard to find a good ground in this car.
