new clutch break in??????
has anyone ever heard of this? I have not although I would put say 100 miles on it before abusing is. What is everyone's opinion and what did you do. Don't think GM has anything in books about this.

All after market clutch manufacturers that I've seen specify a 500 mile break in period.

I didn t break in my Spec 3+ when it was new and with-in 200 miles it slipped terribly! The car would slow down going up hills. Dyno showed that it was slipping then shortly after (200-300 miles later) it was junk! I changed it with a new set-up and broke it in for 500-600 miles before W.O.T. Its Great now!

Have you solicited any clutch vendors/installers for their opinion? Why not ask the experts who do it everyday, and stake their reputation on their work?
