I thought you guys might be interested in the gains, we were a little surprised with the results. We tested one of the new manifolds from GM we received recently. The install was on a 2000 convertible, 6spd with the Blackwing and exhaust for mods.
The results:
17hp. and 11trq. to the rear wheels. Again, like usual, the customer comments the car feels more responsive through-out the rpm range.
We will buy a scanner this weekend so we can post images of the graph.
Thanks!
I had the LS-6 intake installed 2 weeks ago, just after dyno day. I do feel a SOP difference, but it could be my imagination. I know 17 hp is not realistic for me, I am hoping for at least 7-8 which is 1/2 of the advertisement (15hp). I would say its worth the money, if 15-17 is reality! That would put me at 365 rw and 456 at the fly, I'll take it!
Nate,That sounds great! Are you having trouble with your website? I've tried to get on several times to get pricing on some mods including the LS-6 Manifold and I can't get there - is it me or the site?
Also, have you installed the ProCharger on your car yet?
Hey Nate do you have these readily available and what is your very best price? (email me the price if you need to) Is there enough stock available on these to allow for a GP? :D
HP- we do have them in stock. We sell them for 450.00 with tubes. No one else sells them that cheap w/coolant tubes. There's not enough room in pricing to do a gp, sorry. Most GM parts are sold at dollars above cost.
2001 and 2002 manifolds are basically the same. GM redesigned them this year because of customers complaing of a whistling sound. Not sure what caused the sound. Dont think they redesigned for power gains.
