When does the auto headlight kick in? My car does wierd things when I raise/lower the headlight without the engine running. The right side stays up unless the engine is running.
From: Alhambra Calismognazifornia, in the country everyone comes just to complain but won't go back home!

the auto headlight option tries to turn them on as soon as I turn the key inside my garage, driver side stays closed. I disable the option and use the switch and it pops right up. have confirmed it a few times.
Do they try to come up before the car starts? If so then you may have the same problemI do. What causes it I still don't know, just turn off the twilight and make sure the car is running before turning the headlights on.
Hey guys...this problem listed above is similar to what I experience...auto dimming function does open lights but manually I can get them to come open. Do you think the staulk is the problem here or does it need a reflash....let me know cmeflyby if you have the fix for this.
Its probably still the headlamp switch itself that's causing it. Not an absolute, but probability
If you are referring to the MFS, it is bypassed by the twilight sentinel, and opens up the headlight doors. Also, there is only one 12 volt signal applied the headlight control module, when the twilight sentinel activates...
they are stock...when the lights are on auto...they don't come up...when I turn this feature off, they come up on the second try (like clock-work) when I flip the manual switch.

I should have looked at the schematic as you are correct. There is a single wire feed to the headlamp control module that commands both lamps to raise.
