I have had my Vette on the road since last friday. The day I got it from the Dealership they included a set of factory C6 18/19 wheels with TPMS and GY RFTs.
No issues what so ever with TPMS.
I was driving last nite and all of the sudden I get the tire message "check pressure sys." or something like that. I checked through the controls to see if maybe one tire is getting low but all it shows is:
LF: XXX RF:XXX
LR: XXX RR:XXX
Im going to take the car to the shop on Monday to have my guys scan it. I was wondering if their is any fault with these units?
That was my first guess. But they I would get this message day 1 of driving the car with these wheels. I got it 1 week later.
The system would recognize pressure changes.
People with no TPM's go weeks without getting the message so yes, it's possible to not have gotten the message until now.
A couple weeks ago there was a thread posted by a member who installed C6 sensors on his C5 and claimed they worked, no error messages and read pressure. A week later he posted he was mistaken, they had stopped working. Your problem sounds very similar.
I guess then ill start by putting the stock front wheels on it and see if it will read it.
If so, then I will swap the sensors over.
Thank you
No need to put the stock wheels back on just yet. Try training the new sensors in your new wheels first and see if that corrects the problem. If that doesn't fix it, then move the stock wheels close to the car, go through the training process again with them and see if they start reading tire pressure. The receiver will pick them up even if they are not mounted on the car. That will eliminate the receiver and verify the problem is in your new wheels. Also check the valve stem on the new wheels, are they metal or are they rubber? If they are rubber, then they are not the sensors. Good luck.
But today as I was driving, out of no where the sensors started functioning again. Except that it is showing a 4 psi difference in the fronts. This I find a little hard to belive because the whole week I was running 29 all around. As I would drive, the left rear would jump up by 8 PSI and kick off the light. So I put nitrogen and it solved that problem.
I know for sure that the nitro did not leak out 4 PSI over night. And the sensors were reading correct tire pressure before the error.
I guess Ill keep an eye and see what happens. Worst sense one night at the shop Ill mess around and swap the sensors. Just not looking forward to r/r 8 RFTs
I think you should go through the TPS training process. It only takes a couple of minutes and it might solve your problem. That way you will know the RF is the RF and so on. Hope it keeps working for you.

Rod
Dream Tire, if you park the car anywhere near where the original tires are stored, your car is reading the signal from the original sensors.
