Default C5 Exhaust Enhancer Plate...stick on?

Just installed exhaust tips and am about to buy an exhaust enhancer plate......all I see are stick-ons......is that about the only choice there is and has anyone else had success with the 3M doublesided tape that comes with it?

Forgive me if I sound like a newbie.....I am....and I'm a girl....but I am a gearhead at heart and I know how to treat my corvette....I just wish I had more open roads to drive it on! Traffic gets in my way

My exhaust plate has been on for almost forever, and no hint at any problem with the adhesive on the 3M strips. Welcome aboard. Never apologize for being a lady ! Nice to talk to you. I think that's how they are all attached. I'm just about to install GHL Bullits and will be replacing my plate after with a C5 Jake in RED.

Just installed mine a few weeks ago. Yes it was attatched with 3m tape. If the area you attatch it to is cleaned properly it will not come off with out a fight!! The auto industry has been using the stuff for molding for years. Good luck and get it clean!

Clean the areas with denatured alcohol and I guarantee it will NOT come off.

To remove, you have to cut through the tape with fishing line.

What he said.
When I swapped mine out I liked to never got it off.
If you clean it good before attaching it you will not have to worry about it unless you want to remove it.
I actually bent my old one pulling on it trying to break the bond of the tape. I gave up and used the ole fishing line trick.

Thanks so much for all the input!! I can't wait to get it now and I won't worry about it falling off - I'll clean the heck outta the area first with the denatured alcohol.

I've noticed so many of those plates now that I ordered one - it really does make the butt-end of the car look excellent......
