Default cam and headers or headers and 4.10s

OK guys, my 2000 6 speed coupe is my daily driver and only car... currently have an intake and a catback exhaust..

im looking to be faster plain and simple.. pin me to my seat

i may visit the drag strip a couple times in a year but my car will never see drag radials.. just wearing some new invos right now.. fyi as of now i dont break loose at all unless i lauch really hard, i can be rolling 10 or 20 then go WOT and stick like glue..

which of these set ups will make me faster in lets say a 40-100 mph race or 60-130.. im not worried about top speed, took it to 160 once and that was good enough for me.. which is about where i will be if i do the 4.10s.

oh and cam wise i was thinking something like the g5x2 or another cam thats not too agressive.. bc i dont want my whole car shaking at idle or any bucking or surging..

i have a feeling i may do one and end up doing the other tho.. but which would you choose...

If just doing one, do the headers and gears. More instant gratification there. However, if circumstances permit, do the cam also. It's what I did (plus other things ) and I'd never go back.

I would do headers and gears, especially since it is a daily driver. My car is somewhat of a daily driver (non winter), and I have a cam,, it has good street manners, but when I turn the AC on, it rocks a little like a boat And my cam is mild with a great tune. I see you are in TX, my guess is your AC gets put to good use.
I think you will be happy with gears and headers/tune.
