Have been looking for a couple days now for a breakdown or something on the 99 corvette shift boot diagram. Is there a ring or something that holds the shift boot tight to the center console? When I bought my 99 FRC the boot was loose and it looks like it was Velcroed to the underside of the console. Well, they tried that anyway loose and looks tacky. I want to order a new one and any hardware that its supposed to have to hold it in place nice and neat. Anyone? Is there a sub-ring or something holdingh the bottom of it to the underside of the console? Thanks
There are "tabs" on the plastic ring at the bottom of the shifter boot. It is common for these to break off if the boot is not taken out the right way.

OK, so there is a ring with tabs on it originally? Do you know any place I can buy the ring and possibly a new shifter boot
