Shifter boot help
Have been looking for a couple days now for a breakdown or something on the 99 corvette shift boot diagram. Is there a ring or something that holds the shift boot tight to the center console? When I bought my 99 FRC the boot was loose and it looks like it was Velcroed to the underside of the console. Well, they tried that anyway 
loose and looks tacky. I want to order a new one and any hardware that its supposed to have to hold it in place nice and neat. Anyone? Is there a sub-ring or something holdingh the bottom of it to the underside of the console? Thanks

OK, so there is a ring with tabs on it originally? Do you know any place I can buy the ring and possibly a new shifter boot

We've all wished at one time or another that someone in the after market would come out with a replacement plastic retaining ring.
Enthusiasts would jump on them for $5.95...
