ATI blower kit for Z06. Input needed
engineered especially in regards to fuel management, detonation on 91 octane
will the computor except the mods without service codes etc. The last thing I want to do is turn this reliable car into a $ 50,000 gernade since I entend to drive & enjoy it. Would appreciate some experienced input from ATI customers
& if their satisfied with the product & company.
We have done 1 already and 3 more on the go(o1 Z06's) and they work great!
delivery date which I question. I got in on the group purchase deal. & was told that the Z06 kit was available & ready for release. My biggest concern is the programming aspect & issues like driveability. I'm no stranger to the concept haveing raced & built dozens of turbo regals. I have the ability to burn my own chips & design my own programs for these early cars. But the new generation of computors is beyond me & the fact I have to rely on someone else for the tune up makes me a bit uncomftable. Although I like the fact that ATI does offer replacement injectors & intercooling instead of relying solely on water/alcohol injection which of course is a back up option in case of detonation problems. But you hit it on the head I would want a tuner if a pcm has not been designed
and I would want the tuner to have my car,I know Steve does great work but aint nothing like the real thing ask your installer to put in writting if you grenade he will replace your LS-6.Even guys like LPE I'm sure occasionally blow one up,If they do Its RARE,visiting there shop even being in the biz myself and meeting the minds of these guys is quite an honor.
Why do you pay more for LPE its the dozens of hours of testing and tuning,Imean dozens.David Smilovic PS
You should feel my LS-6 at 14.7 Lbs you cant drive it unless you enjoy spinning your 335/30/18 Pilots and going swervey, but at 10 Lbs. its liveable.
At medium boost wanting to stay well above 12 no cage and below 135 I pulled a 1st to 1500 3rd to2700 and 5th all out I turned a 14.2 @ 122 mph
I love that forced air induction.ENJOY Dave
Where did you purchase you procharger from and if you do not mind me asking what was the price for the GP ? I am thinking of buying one myself. Does anyone have any feed back on the install ? How difficult is it to install ?
