Default engine vibration ???

ok guys im having this issue on my car. car btw 1900 and 2000 rpms it vibrates and you can feel it on the chasis, a local mechanic said that that happens when the engine ( crank / flywheel / damper) are not balanced correctly? how true can this be. im actually changing the cam on my car this week. he said i should do the balance again to make sure it was done right the first time.

what do u guys remomend me ? ever heard of this before ??

thanks !!!

If you just rebuilt the engine and replaced the crank, rods and pistons, the rotating assembly should have been balanced before you installed in the car.
But if it just started to vibrate on its own, it could be a plug a plug wire and the list goes on.
You have to isolate the problem and go from there, you'll find it but it takes time.

GOOD LUCK

Was the vibration there when you bought it or did it just all of a sudden start?

it was there since ibought it. i really didnt even noticed untill i took it to the shop to get and estimate to change the cam. cas has a 605/609 112lsa cam and i want to change it for something smaller. the shop said i should take the engine apart and make sure everything was balanced to avoid problems later on. how true is this? the new engine only have about 2000 miles. as you guys can see im not the biggest expert when it comes to mechanic so im trying to get the best advise and then take it from there.

thank you !!!!!!

A couple of things to consider, as mentioned the harmonic balancer, the torque tube, possibly bad plug wire(s), mixture.
