My power lock won't lock the driver side door. It will unlock it just fine, but won't lock it. Any idea? Don't really want to make a dealer trip. It's out of warranty anyway :)
Re: Power door lock problem....very weird (shizon'00)
I had the same problem with my 2001 ZO6. Try holding the lock and unlock buttons on the drivers door at the same time. This worked for me. If that does not work then its off to the dealer.
Re: Power door lock problem....very weird (shizon'00)
Mine has the same problem unlocking. I've just been too lazy to replace the module. There have been some recent threads about this. I think it's the door control module, but I"m sure somone who knows for sure will chime in.

You are correct. Door panel removal and replacement of the control module is straightforward. Instructions are on this site.

Mines intermittent, and checked all the connections to it. Still does it now and then, so a replacement is needed. Oddly enough the dealer did not replace the darn thing because the door lock worked fine for them.

I'm not sure, but I think it may set codes for this problem. Have them check next time you take the car in to verify it. They should have replaced the module.
As I mentioned, mine was intermittent, also. It's a common mode of failure for these things and they should have been aware of it.
