Re: TransGo Shift Kit problems with 2000+ Vettes??? (y2k02c5)
Yeah, it seems as many guys have it in their 2000s and 2001s on the forum. I did a search on LS1, and all Corvette forums and nothing came up on this subject.

Let me put to rest any rumors you may have heard regarding the Transgo shift kit. Any part is only as good as the installer.Anybody that has a problem with this kit ...shouldn't!! IF it was installed by a competent transmission tech there should be 0 problems.Find someone who KNOWS how to install this kit or call Transgo and have them refer you to a tech in your area.
The transgo kit is a wonderful mod for ANY A4 and an absolute must for A4's with an aftermarket hi stall converter!!:D
Re: TransGo Shift Kit problems with 2000+ Vettes??? (y2k02c5)
The only problem I am aware of regarding Transgo shift kits is in relation to 1999 on C5s; I had been told that there is a potential conflict with the PCM torque management program. As I understand it the shift may be so fast that the program will slow it down. Worst case would be 1-2 seconds between shifts.
If you have a Powerloader there will be no problems because Steve disables the torque management program.

Guys, I rec'd another email regarding this concern from Tom Byrne, and He stated that he had spoken to 2 persons at TransGo, and they informed him that the kit will work for us 01 and 02 guys!

Go ahead and do it yourself, it is a simple but time consuming project, if you aren't that familiar with the auto, it might take you about 6 hrs with jacking the car up and all, but I'm sure most of you out there can handle this job by following the directions. I did mine and it took me 5-6 hrs total and I love the results. Tom Richter
