I know the hypertech programmer can change your rev limiter, top speed, and adjust for non-stock tire/rim sizes. But, what else can it do for a mn6 vette? What do they cost? Worth it? Easy t o use?
I checked out thier web site, and they did not have a model listed for a 2001 vette. Any ideas on when it will be released?

IMO... for a 6Speed Manual, it's not worth it. The only REAL benefit you'll get out of it is being able to change the "on/off" temp for your fans. With an A4 tranny you could change your shift points. But other than that, it's useless. The "power tuning" is a joke at worst and, at best, spotty and unreliable in delivery/application.

Word is release of a HPP 3 for the 2001 model year car is still several (4?)weeks away.
Also, this link has dynos for the 97 & 99 model year LS1 corvettes. You can judge if stated gains in the past are significant for what you are looking for.

Items like the Hypertech and Powerloader show best with an A4. The Hypertech will allow you to adjust where the 1-2, 2-3 an 3-4 shifts occur (individually) shift firmness, rev limiter, fan turn-on temp, rear-end ratio adjustments, etc. They work great and have a large impact on A4 shifting performance. Obviously, an M6 will not be able to use all the features of a Hypertech. However, if you want to adjust fan turn-on temps, rev limiter or adjust for a different rear axle or tire size, it'll work great. I don't believe either the Hypertech or Powerloader are used on great numbers of M6 cars.
Also, they're very easy to use (both).
