And no, this isn't another steering column lock up. I've already installed the bypass. Got in the car this morning, started it up, but the orange 'security' light stayed on. So I cut the car off, went to restart it, and the key WILL NOT TURN at all in the ignition.
Is my ignition toast?? I've never had this happen, and now I'm once again without a car, and hoping this won't end up being a costly fix.

It could be the ignition lock cylinder or the ignition switch (I would say probably the switch). Bill Curlee has a rebuild "how-to" for the ignition switch, but the lock cylinder may be a purchase and replace ordeal.
worst case, GM parts direct has new cylinders for only $75......I'll hit the local chevy dealership on my lunchbreak and talk to some techs there.
What are the chances it's just my key causing this? When I started the car for the first time this morning (and got the pull key wait 10), the key felt like it could pull straight out while the car was running. This I know isn't normal, so I cut the engine, and went for a restart. That's when I got the blining security light.
3rd time I tried to start it, it just wouldn't budge. Attempted this about 15 more times, to no avail.

Not sure what type of advice your looking for here. If your key is not broken in any way, and the lock cylinder in the ignition will not turn, you don't have too many options.
