Default 97-98 Fuel System CONVERSION guys -- EVAP System

What did you guys that converted from a 99+ fuel system to a 97-98 fuel system do about the EVAP system? Reason I ask is that it's causing a random idle issue on my car when the car tries to do a EVAP purge, it completely dumps fuel on the right side and practically stalls the car (did yesterday when I had my back turned).

I'd like to fab something up but am so far coming up short with a good overview/layout of the 97 system vs. the 99+ system.

Can a 97-98 guy possibly look under the hood and see where the EVAP solenoid line leads to by chance????

When I did my conversion I did not mess with the Evap. Those lines stay the same. I added the fuel rails, regulator and return line.

When I rebuilt my fuel system on my 99, I originally deleted the EVAP system. That was a WRONG CHOICE!!! My gas tank would pressureize way too much causing gas to leak around the fuel pump gasket, and making a huge whoosh when I took the gas cap off! So, I had the system put back in, and put the purge solenoid in my left fender. All I know is that it IS NEEDED to vent excess pressure out of the tank. If you are getting fuel in the purge line, sounds like something is wrong back at the tank.

Ok, then I'll start searcing to see what happened to the line in the back.
