Default Just how durable are the C5's?

Well, I know the Vette is an amazing car, everyone knows this! But I was just wondering, how sturdy and durable is the engine, drivetrain, tranny, etc? In May, I'm probably going to be buying a 98 Coupe, and totally modding it out. I want to supercharge it with a 15 PSI boost or so. I know if I wanted to supercharge my truck (2000 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3) I'd have to replace pistons, rods, cam, drivetrain, tranny work would be needed if not a new tranny, new rear end, etc. How much can the stock components of the Vette take? Eventually, I'll probably want to be putting down about 500 to the rear wheels. Could any of the stock components handle this? I'll most likely replace the cam anyways, but can the rest of the engine/drive-train/tranny handle this power? Thanks for your help,
-Grim

I believe that LPE does not do anything to the tranny and rear when installing their Stage II TT which supposedly makes 650 ponies at the crank. However I believe you will need to upgrade your engine and clutch.
