Hey guys, quick question- what is the torque setting when tightening spark plugs on LS1? Where can you find information like this at?
Thanks,
Tom

Looks like the acceptable torque is 7-11 Ft/lbs...VERY minimal.
Most people just tighten them by hand then take a 1/16 turn more on the plug with a torque wrench...usually works.

I read that to, I just thought that 4lbs was a pretty broad range. I'll do it the turn until tight and then another 1/16.
Thanks,
Tom

This is out of my 2000 C5 Helms manual.
Tighten the spark plugs (New Cylinder Heads) to 15 ft/lbs or 11 ft/lbs for subsequent plug changes.
FWIW

You definitely don't want to overtighten the plugs.
