Recommended header system for < $1000?
I know this is a common question, so feel free to delete it if need be, but my use of the "search" button has just brought up a lot of threads with uneducated people bashing each other and seeing who can **** farther.
My question is, for less than $1000 usd, what would you recommend for a header system (complete with cats AND an x pipe), and where could you find it?
I'm getting sick of searching for used (my luck someone will start a thread with everything I need as I type this), so new, or a direct link would be greatly preferred.

I have the OBX also, good system for little cash, and now OBX has a new cat-back system for little cash also, see Dennis at Double D Mods, a vendor here for the latest info. Most all headers come with the "X" pipe also, and usually have your choice of cats or not. I do like my OBX headers and GHL Bullets, but, it's a bit over your $1000.00 mark.

I picked up a set of used TPiS and they seem to do the trick.. the secret was waiting until just the right moment and then jumping on the used ones when they came up. I paid $350 for theheaders/x/midpipe, no cat's tho. Could have had a set with cats for $450. That's safely under the $1000 budget. Just a lot of patience right now waiting for good deals on parts can pay off..

Here's a nice set of Quality LPE/B&B headers with the stock mid pipe already modified to fit.To save on shipping you could have the seller cut the H-Pipe and buy a Bassani X pipe. Even with an X pipe and shipping costs, you should be under $1000.

I had the same system with Z06 catback. Very mellow sound at cruising speed, but roared pretty good at WOT.
