DIC Dead on 2000 Vert
My friends DIC is totally blank and the chime continually chimes. I did a search and couldn't find any help. Any suggestions?

Start with any possible fuses causing a problem. Next look at the BCM and see if you have any water on it or around it. Are any of the DIC buttons sticking in?

Has he modified anything or added anything new? I added a device that turned off my traction control automatically (putting it into 'Competition Mode') and my whole dash shut down. The local dealer couldn't figure out what the problem was deciding I needed a whole new dash (despite me telling them what I had done). I brought it home and disconnected the device and my dash came back to life.

the dealer because it was the most recent modification (a few months earlier) and some of the car was still under warranty.
But thank you for your inciteful observation. Not being infallible I can unfortunately list a whole bunch of errors I have made over the years
especially regarding performance modifications. I think 'hindsight' can create a lot of 'perfect' observations.
