Default Difference in OEM LS1 heads

What is the difference in the OEM factory heads offered for the LS1. Is there a noticable difference (SOTP) in the HP they produce?

I ask because my 97 has the original 800 series POS heads. I've got all sorts of bolt ons and last put down 330rwhp. Then i rode in a bone stock 2002 that seemed to have significantly more low end umph than my car. (both cars in question have the 3.15 gears)

I don't think there is any difference in the heads other then the bolt pattern for the valve covers. Perimeter vs center bolt.
The real difference is in the cam profile for the later model LS1's your engine is rated @ 350 hp 345 lbs tq. the later engines are 350 hp and 375 lbs tq.
If you want better heads get some 243's.

Def going with 243s later this year. I'm saving up for a 243 head/light cam upgrade with all the supporting components so i can save on labor costs.
