Last month I had the dreaded 1214C code that pointed to a problem with the EBCTM in my '02 Vette. After a couple of weeks checking all of the possible causes like grounds (13 of them), battery connections, etc., I thought I would rebuild the module. So after lots of research through these forums, I ordered the electrical parts needed.

I then removed the EBCTM from my car. A little difficult the first time. Blood, scratches and scrapes. Then tried to open it up according to the directions I found. I think I tried everything, 3M solvent, beer, screwdrivers, curses, beer, hammers, chisels, scrapers. I hate to admit it to you guys, but I could not get that damned thing open. Wife then says, "why don't you send it to someone to get it fixed?"

So I got smart and sent it to ABSFIXER in Highlandville, MO. Day later he calls and says my unit arrived. Will fix it right away and contact me when it is ready to ship. Couple days later get an e-mail saying my unit fixed and shipping. This is very professional. I was impressed. Two days later my module is back in my hands. Very slick.

I installed it right away and was really nervous that those damned lights on the dash would still be there. Started my Corvette and no Traction lights. Happy days are here again.
