I've heard this from a C5 tech as well, reason being that GM says it will eventually interfere with the spark signal. They recommend a couple of drops of motor oil instead.
Sorry, but the link is not working. Anyway, c4c5specialist does not recommend using anti-siez on spark plugs. Rather, he says to use two drops of oil. The thread is on "the other forum" titled "Changing C5 Spark Plugs." What do you think?
I have always been told that it reduces the ground contact area on the spark plug. Common sense tells you that it will reduce the ground somewhat but I really don't know what kind of performance penalty, if any, would occur...

Hi there,
The anti seize is a nono, in any way.
The reason, is that as time and heat wear on, this could cause an inhibited grounding path, and therefore, insufficient spark.
It takes a while but this is not recommended, and also, changes your torque value, as the antiseize is alot more slippery
Gm tells us to use 2 drops of synthetic motor oil, on each spark plug, then torque, as you stated to 11 ft lbs.
He is "the man". I sure used it on mine and hate to go back through that
blood letting again so soon.
