Default Drag Radial - Patch or Plug

I pulled my BFG Drag radials off from last weekends recreation and found a small screw in the thread - well at least where the thread is on a passenger tire. Put the street tires back on the vette and pulled the screw out of the drag radial - Yep it bubbles with soapy water. The question - Can I just put a plug in this or do I need to have the tire broke down and patched from the inside? Little help from the tire experts please!

UPDATE:
The PATCHES have it! Thanks for the input.

I have only plugged a radial tire in an emergency to get to my destination, never for everyday use.

This is from the BF Goodrich website, and the same statement is in your warranty booklet:

TIRE REPAIRS
Repairs of all tires must be of the combined plug and inside patch type. Plug only repairs are improper. A tire should be removed from the rim and inspected prior to repair. Any tire repair done without removing the tire from the rim is improper. An improperly repaired tire will cause further damage to the tire by either leaking air or allowing air, moisture and contaminants to enter the structure of the tire. An improperly repaired tire can fail suddenly at a later date. Never repair a tire with less than 2/32nds of an inch tread remaining. At this tread depth, the tire is worn out and must be replaced.

Get it patched from the inside. I am not sure I would trust a plug to hold up.

100%, get it patched. I would never trust a plug in a drag radial.

They make a patch with a plug. I think that would be a good solution. Fix the air leak with the patch and fix the hole with the plug.
