Sure, you can test them while setting in the drivers seat. Just perform the normal learn procedure, like you would do if the were in the wheels. This will tell you whether the sensors are communicating or not. However, it won't tell you anything about the accuracy of the sensors.

Yes you can.
I was looking at some threads ( cause mine are just old and dieing )
and there was mention of how to check them.
I used the search and just put in Tire Monitor System.
