Default C-5 clutch spring broken

my C-5 clutch starting making a pingy noise when operating; it looks like one side of a double spring has broken. What is involved in replacing it and any idea on cost? Thank you!!

The spring is your clutch assist spring. (Helps push the clutch in so your clutch will be a bit stiffer without it. ) You don't need it. Take out both halves of the broken spring so it doesn't get hung up just when you don't want it to and you're set. Some people remove them as added insurance against the sticky clutch syndrom. If you do decide you need it, they're available at your dealership and reasonably cheap.
