c5 remote trunk release problem

I am sure this problem has been posted previously, but I have been unable to find it by searching. Any help or a link to a previous post would be appreciated.

I have a 2000 convertible. The remote trunk release has become erratic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Have tried changing the battery, changing FOBS, retraining. Nothing seems to solve the issue.

Anyone have a solution?

Mine did the same thing. My wife's worked fine and I replaced the battery but still nothing. I got on e-bay and bought a new one and it works great. Threw the old one away.

Just bought a C5, and my fob does not work even with a new battery. You bought a new key fob? I thought that would have been a dealer item.
