Default slipping gears/ clutch failure

i have a 01 z06 supercharged with a ecs paxton blower.

started with a trex exo twin disc/ that failed on me. clutch started slipping in gears, and hard to get into gears once in a while. no grinding
replaced by ecs last year to a supertwin SPEC

now the spec is started to do the exact same thing

both times the pilot bearing has been broken to pieces and worn out.. something is causing it to fail.

i have recieved my exo back from trex with new discs and insepection, thanks to chris at east coast supercharging! thanks again

ordered rpms trans torque tube bushing kit
order clutch bleeder line
new pilot bearing
clutch slave cyclinder
having the MC racing in Kansas send out the DS to make sure its balanced
also having them take apart the torque tube to inspect bearings

can anyone tell me anything else to look for while i try my attempt to fix this issue?

if the pilot keeps failing something is either out of alignment or the shaft is wobbling due to a bad bearing.

They are not that difficult for a tech to swap out.

What are the gouges on the face of that bearing? It looks like the needles are still in the bearing, so it may be OK. Pilot bearings have been known to fail even in stock cars.

Are you sure you don't have a clutch problem. What do the clutch disks look like? Are they worn out? I don't think a bad pilot bearing would cause clutch slippage.

hard shifting into first and into third can be a sign of the synchros in the transmission going bad. Another cause could be the slave not fully disengaging teh clutch. Put the car in 1st gear on a flat road. Foot off brake, Push the clutch in, does the car pull forward? If so the slave is not fully disengaging.

Also check and make sure the shifter is properly aligned. This can cause poor shifting. Do a search on shifter alignment.
