How do I remove the bushings from the front upper and lower control arms? they're stuck in there very tight.

There is a bolt of sorts attached to the middle of the lower control arm. I'm assuming this is the one to raise and lower the ride height. Do I need to count the threads before I unscrew it so I can put it back the way it was?

To get the front/upper bushings out, I just clamped one end of the shaft in my bench vice TIGHT, and then twisted and pulled on the arm. the bushing will eventually work itself free, without doing any damage to it.

That screw is for adjusting the ride height. It screws into the end of the spring and just sits on top of the arm. You dont need to touch that!

The rubber bushings are molded into the a-arms. First mark the adjusting cam positions with a marker and remove the a-arms then use a propane torch and screwdriver to melt and pry out the old bushings. The center shafts in the picture will come out easy when the rubber is heated, just clamp on a pair of vice grips. You don't need a lot of heat but do this outdoors and use gloves. The a-arm bores will clean up well with scotchbright and brake cleaner. To install the new poly bushings use a piece of threaded rod, nuts, washers and various fillers such as sockets or threaded pipe reducing bushings. As you tighten the nut on the threaded rod the bushing will draw up and seat in the a-arm. The threaded rod method works better than a vice because the new bushings are captured and can't pop off the a-arm as they can using a vice.
