There is no "Comp cam thunder cam". Thunder Racing has there own line of cams - one is a 220/220 112 or 114 and the other is a 224/224 112 or 114. You can see them here http://www.thunderracing.com/index.c...id=1114#T1159. These are both great cams that love stock heads and aftermarket heads. Torque on both is outstanding.....I know one guy that switched out a B1 cam to a thunder 220 cam and got only 3 rwhp increase, but decareased his 1/4 mile time by 3/10's! I think the strong torque curve on the Thunder cam was responsible for that......
Heh oliverm5 I'm running a very similar setup to yours. I have 224 cam and hardened push rods with comp 981 springs, TPIS headers w\cats magnaflow xpipe corsa touring and vortex. I dynoed 340 RWHP sae corrected. Does that seem accurate to you. I do have cats and the stock 2000 intake and no pully but would that make 30+ RWHP difference?
For an M6, that is very low - you should see at least 355 rwhp with the cam.....try autotapping the car to see what is going on with tuning issues - if all else is fine, your cam install may not have been done right......
This was done on speedworks. the wideband showed it being pretty rich at the end. I'm taking it back over to Fastech were I got it installed to get them to dyno it and see what they get. I thought 340 was a little low too. Now I know an LS6 intake, pullie, and not cats would help but I would think that would put me in the 370+ range. :confused:
I never dynoed it before. I had everything installed together. I know the car was running ok before bcause it ran stock consistant 13.4's at 107 with 2.2 60ft. So I'm really concerned that something isn't right. i haven't taken it to the track yet. I am getting some addtional valvetrain noise but no more than to be expected. Do you think that could be causing a false knock? :crazy: :confused:
Considering that guys pick up 20rwhp on stock cars with a good intake like a Vortex, I'd guess it would be even more with a car with a cam and headers.
Or did you mean you have the stock LS1 intake manifold? I don't think the LS6 intake does much unless you have ported heads and a healthy cam.

Holy Crap! who did your install? Headers and intake can give almost 330. You should be well into the 350-360 range. Check your tuning..somthing is big time wrong. :confused:
Heavyd 224 is your duration what is the lift and lobe seperation ?
as stated earlier the T1 is 558 lift and 221 duration with a 112 lobe separation.
You should be making a lot more power than 340hp, I have the T1 and I have Dynoed at MTI and Speedworks with the same results of 376hp.
Vette-racer do you have your cats on? Also are you running the stock 2000 intake manifold? Your numbers are SAE corrected? If so then I am really concerned because I agree with you my cam is more aggressive than the T1 and I have WAY less RWHP than you. Thunder racing also shows a lot more HP on their dyno(granted it was on a Fbody which usually gets more but they got 390) What really has me thinking something is wrong too is I raced Kidd and we were dead even and he has an auto with NO stall and a B1 cam and identical intake headers etc. and my car was faster than his when he had his vortex and catback and I was bone stock. :confused: :confused: :crazy: I'm taking it back to fastech tomorrow to have them dyno it and get some idea of what is wrong.
