Default Knocking vibration....

Good Day everyone!
I have a 2000 MN6 car. When cruising at light throttle around 25-30mph in fourth (or in third, but not as noticeable), I notice a light knocking feeling under my feet. I can't hear it, but I can feel it in the floor and it seems to be getting a little worse. I do not notice it on the highway at all and just recently I thought I would do some low speed zig-zags on an open road to see if I could analyze it further and it definitely gets worse when I zig to the right. The tie-rods were all checked and are good. What else could it be? Could it be my tires? They have lots of tread, but I did buy the car with them already on there.

Please reply with any helpful comments. The last time I asked, I just got people flaming me with my gear choice and how low the rpm was at that speed...apparently non of them ever drove an automatic C5 or saw where the rpm was when having to skip-shift.

Anyway, enough whining from me, thank you very much for your insight and help!

Sort of sounds like the rear half-shafts and their CV type joints binding. They are pretty strong though.

Is there any way I can inspect this from the ground? Would the rear be leaking?

Thanks!

Just a thought my c5 is a automatic and about a month or so back had this vibration and little noise kinda felt like the tires but they are new and had them reballanced anyways didnt help but what it turned out to be was my harmonic balancer replaced it and that fixed it she drives and rides smooth as silk again just a thought

I never thought about the harmonic balancer. I heard they can get loose on our engines and don't believe that mine is loose, however, I never thought they would go. I'll have to have a look at that. Thanks!

Mine didnt come loose they are rubber mounted and the rubber inbetween the two had started breaking down and thats where my wobble and vibration was comming from

Ahh, good to know, I will look into this however, I am not sure if this is the problem as the sound grows when turning a certain direction.
