outside temp guage on c5
My outside temp always reads 63 or 64. Air conditioner and heater work fine. Wondering if anyone knows where the unit is that sends the outside temp. I,m assuming its on the window somewhere, but can,t find it. Anyone had this problem, on a 99 vert.

It is located above the air dam on the side of the radiator shroud on the passenger side. You can see it when you open the hood and look down between the front of the hood and the front fascia. It will be on your left side. Several things may have happened to it. The contacts may have been corroded or something may have hit the end of the sensor and broke it off. That is what happened to mine.
