Have been searching for a thread that talks about a trick for your weather stripping. Something about vasoline, a hair dryer and leaving the windows down for 3 days. Man, that sure sounds like something else , but I know I saw it on here, but I just havent been able to find it again. Anyone familiar with this and can point me in the right direction? I have tried searching the General and Tech forums but no luck.

Thanks!
It would help if we knew what you are trying to accomplish...
It was to recondition them. Doing this trick helps the stripping return to it's normal state. Meaning like the striping around your door will "puff" back up. Sorry I can't explain it better but it has been awhile since I saw it and I didnt read it real good.

If I recall correctly, some guys claim they heat the weather strip with a hairdryer, while applying vasoline/babyoil, and then roll the windows up while the weatherstrip is still warm. I think the idea is it will puff up the weather strip, and closing the window on it warm makes it conform to the window again. Never tried it....
Yep, that was it. Maybe this weekend I can sit down and search for it again. But I am hoping someone around here remembers it so I dont have to search anymore!!!
