Starter will click with bad IG switch?
I just started having intermittent starter problems. I get the TDR and solenoid clicking, but no turn over. Today I had to put it up on stands where it sat in a friends driveway so I could tap the solenoid wire right to 12V, which got me home.
I've read a lot of started threads, but I'm having trouble answering the following three questions:
Will a bad ignition switch still allow the solenoid to click?
Will a bad gear position sensor allow it to click?
Does a clicking TDR necessarily indicate functionality? If not, I guess I should try jumping it.
The car won't start in Neutral, and has no clicking. Not sure if the Vette allows that to happen anyway.
About a month ago I started getting the 'Service ABS / TC' messages. I guess it's time I pull the codes, post them up and start inspecting the grounds as well.

No. Same reason as above.
No. Just helped someone with this last week. Although an audible click could be heard from the TDR, the contacts were not closing.
