I have followed the advice of KVvetteowner regarding resetting the codes to get my gas gauge to start working again. I managed to clear all the codes with the exception of one - 10 PCM P0461 H C. That one shows one code amd will not clear. I hit and hold the Reset Button, it beeps but then continues to come back with "1 Code". Any other suggestions on how to clear that code?
Thanks for your quick response but, unfortunately, I'm not sure what it means. Does this mean that the P0461 Fuel Level Sensor 1 needs to be replaced and cannot be reset? As you can tell, I don't know much about this stuff and hope not to have to spend too much money to correct the problem. My local Chevy dealer is already about replacing one or both sensors and fuel strainer at a cost of well over $1700.00. OUCH!

This really depends on you troubleshooting abilities...use of a mutimeter, following the service manual, etc. If you're up to it, I'll send you the procedure.
Great! I do not have a multimeter but can obtain a service manual. Any information you can provide will be appreciated. Please keep in mind that I am new at this so, if possible, try to keep the information not too technical....

If you have a service manual, then you can read through the procedure. Unfortunately, it looks like most troubleshooting involves a tech II.
