Well I have caught the LED mod bug and I am going to try and replace every incandescent bulb I can dig out. I have already done all the courtesy bulbs with some super bright modules. I am now moving on to the DIC, TC, HVAC, radio, and window buttons.
So I did some probing around for a start and noticed that the driver side window switch was showing 8.4v and the passenger side was 7.6v. This is fine and all but I thought they would be 12v? And when I get to the other buttons like the HVAC, I don't think I can take a voltage while it is connected. I don't like guessing so I was wondering if someone could shed some (LED) light on what voltages I should have on these hard to reach areas?
Interestingly enough I've never taken measurements at any of the bulb locations.... I always pick my Max Ohm value for slightly higher then 12 volts in case there are any voltage spikes like during start up....
Great thanks. I will assume 12v and go with the next highest using the +- 5% tolerance values. It is likely that the voltages will be higher than what I measured because it wasn't running and I'm not sure how this circuit is regulated.

What you are seeing is known as voltage drop due to measuring between the voltage source (12V) and the load (lamps). In order to measure the true supplied voltage, you must isolate the load from the circuit by removing the lamp(s).
