Just installed an iPod2Car with the stock Bose on my 2000 coupe, works great. You'll need the adapter, PXHGM4, remove the plug from the radio and insert the adapter in between, route the iPod docking cable through the console and you're done. I don't have the CD changer, you'll lose it if you do. iPod selected via the AUX button. Depending on the iPod2Car you buy you may also need the newer PODCBLB20-5V docking cable which solves charging problems on newer iPods.
does anyone know if the stock single CD player for the 2000 has the cd plug in the back of the radio or the back of the car? dont want to take car apart to just look for that plug.

If you 2000 has the stock single CD player then you are set. All you have to do is unplug the wiring harness in the back of the radio and plug in the special wiring harness that mates to the ipod player. Check the web sites, they list the specifics.
If you have a remote multi CD box in your truck, it will be disabled.
Best of luck,

thanks for everyones input
If you have the CD changer it has both. IIRC some cars even have the harness for the changer installed even though the changer is not. If thats the case you have the option (with the correct adapter) to install either way, but you'll lose the changer if you have it. Easiest is as mentioned, in the back of the radio.

Yes it"s behind the radio, that's where you use PHXGM 4 harness.
