ughhh wtf just happened
Today I replaced my fog light shrouds with some hollowed out ones for some better air flow. After that was done, I did an oil change, and went for a test drive. At a traffic light, I turned my lights on, (all the bulbs worked) but when I went to turn them off, the passenger side motor made this machine gun noise almost like it was jammed as soon as it closed. It's like the motor is still getting a current after the headlight door has closed and it's still trying to close the passenger side light. The drivers side light works fine, as do all the fogs, only problem is with the passenger side headlight. I did a search and found a few threads where guys have described the same noise, is it the gear?

Yes, search for headlight gear replacement or look at the ultimate DIY sticky. Almost a constant first page topic with the never ending string of threads about this problem.
