question 1.85 rockers
ok heres a question for the tach savy... I have a 2002 LS6 (stock) that Im going to put in my 97 A4..... im going to put headers and will have it tuned.... will the 1.85 rockers help it some? can the install be done without having to cut the pistons? thanks John

The addition of 1.85 rockers to the stock LS6 will increase the lift from .551/.555 to .600/.604. This will give you an increase in horsepower of somewhere near 10 to 12 hp, abeit vitually all the increase will be under the curve. (Little or no increase in maximum hp). You can do this without modifying the pistons and probably without changing push rods, but your stock springs won't survive this kind of lift for long. You'll need to change out the springs to something like the PAC 1518s or whatever to accomodate the extra lift. Changing out the springs on a stock 2002 probably isn't a bad idea anyway.
