Default eng noise ? or in dash ?

Hello guys,, new here.--I picked up a 2004 vette, and i see that there is a noise in the dash or from eng that i cant pin point.-- As you sit in car in park, or drive [idle] there is what i call possable thumping noise at base of dash/windshield.-- If this car has a purge solenoid thats what noise sounds like, as they thump .- could it be possable eng noise traveling into veh ?? --- hard to say.--any ideas . or suggestions

I had a similar noise from under the dash. It turned out to be a loose wiper mount. I grabbed the wiper arm and could pull it up and down. 1 screw later and all is good.

Could be a gremlin. They infiltrated the corvettes during the production run! They have been known to have caused several issues: column lock, rear diff seal leak, rocking seat, leaky windows and top, leaky batteries on the computer, and so on.
