Default suspension on 2000

Ok, bought the 2000 a couple months ago in Fla.. when i picked it up they said they replaced the traction/suspension switch because they were told thats why the ABS/traction light was coming on. Well the light continued to come on took it to the dealer and they gave me they code C1243 had the abs computer fixed by AutoXpressTech and excersized the pump talked to the dealer and they said they were sending me original switch and to return the one in the car now. I get the switch and it does not have the adjustable suspension switch on it like the one they put in. I have the dealer print out of the options but it was completely wrong with the car. it said base package but car is loaded.

which brings me to the ? HOW can i easily verify what one I have the F45 or z51

i would think ur vin # should let u clarify which one u have ,also do u have a **** on the console ? My buddys 98 had that & his was an f45 suspension ,it let him change the suspension ride with a **** turn, sport ,luxury, & 1 more cant remember what it was though,i have the z51 suspension & there is no **** u turn, theres a button that has traction control on or off or hold down for 5 sec then it goes into competition mode,i would go the vin route & let the dealer look it up for u,i was fortunate enough to get the original / Dealer sticker of what options came with my car & it was loaded as well & like i said it is z51

Look at this link, it has a list of options from GM. If you have the adjustment switch (tour, sport, perf) then you do not have the Z51 package according to this from GM

Handling Package:

"F45" option for driver comfort -
and control features
continuously variable, real
time damping through the use
of driver-adjustable ride
control system (not available
with "Z51" Performance Handling Package)

Performance Handling Package:

"Z51" performance oriented package for the
gymkhana/autocross enthusiast
includes sport suspension:
stiffer springs, larger
monotube shocks and larger
stabilizer bars (not available
with "F45" Handling Package)

Look on the inside of the glove box door, there should be a placard on it that will list all the options that came on your car.

Good luck... GUSTO

thanks, car came with the three position but it was replaced by the seller, they sent me back the original which was just the one active button, glove box said Z51 which i believe. dealer said F45 with that vin but they also said the car wasn't loaded either. which it is. can seems a little different with the orig. button in it hope they didn't screw something up putting the wrong switch in for the last 1 1/2 months.
