Small Oil leak

Small Oil leak
Greetings,
I am new to this forum...I just purchased a 79 corvette and it has 64,000 original miles. In the last 4yrs it has been driven around 3000 miles. Anyhow it has been housed for a while..Seems to run great but I noticed several very small oil leaks today. They were mainly drops with one being about a teaspoon. I drove it pretty hard for about two hours on the freeway yesterday. I remember having an old GM when I was in my teens and it always seemed to leak a little oil..Should I be concerned with this? I plan on changing the oil this week..OH..As I drove it I did not notice anything out of normal with the oil gauge it seemed to stay around 40..The heat gauge did go over 220 which I believe is normal for the car..
