Hi, I am thinking of getting a set of the Chrome Deep Dish rims that are being sold on the forum by JWMotoring.com I have a couple questions for the experts!
1) What difference will it make having a 56mm offset on the rear versus the factory 65mm? I don't really know what the offset means.
Thanks!
2) These rims are 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 which is 1" wider than stock all the way around. I have brand new stock sized tires on my coupe that I can't afford to replace. I know they will "work" but are designed for the Z06 stock sizes. What negative effects will there be from putting my smaller tires on these rims?
Thank!
Russ

According to my favorite wheel-tire calculator at http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp you should be fine. With the 56 mm offset, your wheel/tire combo will stick out 0.4" farther than stock, which is no big deal at all. As for the wheel width and the stock sized tire, most 275-40-18 tires are OK with a rim width of 9" to 11." As for not knowing exactly what 'offset' is, visit the site I mentioned and play around with the calculator. It has a very nice visual representation of what all of the different measurements are and redraws itself as you plug in different sizes. After a few minutes with that, you'll be an expert!

Great, thanks a lot! I'll check out that link and try to soak up some knowledge too!
