Haunted Headlights
My 98 sits garaged weeks at a time. I start it every few days to keep the battery (6 months old) well charged. Usually when I run it I turn the headlights on and off. It's always a crap-shoot whether or not the left headlight pops up. The bulb itself always lights....but the light won't raise. I hear no grinding of any gears and it doesn't seem to matter whether the car's running or not. Total silence from the left headlight area. Could anyone tell this non-mechanic what I might try looking at? I don't even know how to manually raise the lights but would like to learn in case I have to drive it at night. Thank you.
