Default Next steps in suspension upgrades

Ok posted a little while back for suggestions on sway bars, shocks and springs. Took the concensus view and went with :

C6 Z51 Sway bars w/metal end links and new poly bushings .

C6 Z06 shocks front and rear.

C5 Z06 Springs front and rear.

Also adding a 1/4" tunnel plate with themal insulation. Doing this more for heat reduction in the cabin but understand that it may stiffen the platform somewhat which should have a positive effect on handling.

Now my next issue is wheels and tires. I really happen to like the look of the polished thin spoke wheels that are on my 2000 MN6 Coupe, but would like to go a tad larger on tire size. I have seen a few threads on going to 18 inch all around and have read the issues regarding traction control (more an issue of overall diameter than wheel size) and recommendations for tire sizes front and rear. My questions are:
Does going to 18 inch all around have an advantage or disadvantage to handling, again if tires sizes are optimally selected for overall diameter and width is the wheel size a real factor?
Does any one make a polished or chrome thin spoke wheel in 18inch greater than 9.5 inches wide?

Thanks for all the help.

You could always get your stock rims widened.

18" wheels all the way around is a personal preference depending on the stagger and width of the tires that you use.

Toyo RA1's are nice sticky tires for the street as are the Nitto's. Michelin PS2's are nice but pricey.

Try looking here for wider wheels. They have them in 18s

The advantage of running 18s in the front is that you run a lower profile tire which makes the car more responsive at turn in because the tire will twist sooner.
