Oil Consumption
I am new to this forum and am going to purchase a C-5 in the near future. I am aware of the oil consumption problems on the 1999-2001 Vettes and was wondering if all these year models are having the problem and if not how would someone single out the defective ones. I don't want to spend 30 to 50 thousand on a car that needs rings. Thanks in advance

its more so only on the 2001 models, the consumption issue and its only really prevelant if you drive your car hard... if you plan on keeping the revs relatively low and just enjoy the car, you will be fine....if you plan on getting an automatic, your consumption will be fine...my vote goes to the 2000 corvette cause you get the benefits of the upgraded rims.
