Default Spark plug question..ac delco

I just recently changed my plugs and wires along with some other stuff. I ordered the parts from a well known performance site. Based on my make, year and model search they sent me AC Delco 41-985. When I removed my old plugs they were AC Delco 41-952. I contacted AC Delco though their "contact with question " link...they referred me to my local AC DElco dealer as the person responding didn't have the answer.

So what's the difference between the two part numbers? Anybody know?

My car runs just fine...just curious to the difference.

41-985 are the correct ones. They are iridium. They replaced the 41-952 old ones. They were platinum. New gap is .040", old gap was .060".

Thanks 2KRFC5..I couldn't find the answer online though the AC Delco site. The car runs much better and I lost the pinging I had at WOT.

I found this thread after I pulled the plugs on my 2000 HT today. They were 41-952's. I replaced them with AC Delco 41-110 Iridiums and they are gapped at .040". I guess these are just the latest in the line of Iridium plugs. I also replaced the plug wires with MSD wires. BTW, thanks to the forum for educating me on what a pain in the *** changing plugs can be. I was prepared for the struggle.
