Default Active handling problem

Around aug. 17,2009 I was driving north on I75 about 75mph when it started to rain and traffic slowed down. I pulled into the left lane to pass and the vehicle pulled right into the left lane,I was able to get it under control and slowed down to about 55mph. Traffic slowed again and I tried to pass again at 55mph,this time the vehicle pulled hard right and did a 270 degree spin off the road and into a ditch and bushes.

The active handling service and ant lock brake service came on?

I took the vehicle into the dealer and they diagnosed the problem as a bad yaw sensor. I then asked about the vehicle damage and the service rep said he could not fix the vehice and I would need to contact the factory which I did.

About two weeks later a factory consultant came to the dealership and evaluated the vehicle and said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. Then the factory called and said they would not do anything even replace the yaw sensor?

I recently attened a 4 day Bondurant race driving school with 2006 ZO6 vehicles and at 140mph you could not get this vehicle behavior.

I have seen various post on this site and would recommend that we let every one with this system know that it is very unsafe and should be recalled.

If anyone has any ideas on how to make that happen pls call me 239-691-1981

Was there any codes? Also, I would suggest reporting this to the NTSB or whatever agency it is that accepts reports of vehicle safety issues.

Default active handling

The code indicated a bad yaw sensor. I have sent them a report.

Your profile indicates you have a 2007. These issues are similar between the C5 and C6 but not quite the same. Since this is a C5 forum are you talking about a C5 or your C6? If you are talking about a C5 GM dealer will deny any repair request unless it is accompanied with money. The warranty on these cars has long since expired.

I have had active handling do some unexpected things on ice, so now I just turn it off. I wish there was a way to turn it off indefinitely so that it does not reset everytime you start the car.
